Massive Appliance Auction: 11,000 Items with Huge Discounts

Score Premium Appliances from Just $1 in a Huge $6M Insurance Clearance

Lloyds Auctioneers & Valuers has launched a massive stock clearance after a $6 million insurance claim. More than 11,000 new household appliances are up for grabs, with bidding starting at just $1.

The auction features high-end brands like Apple, Samsung, Smeg, LG, Sony, Nespresso, Dyson, and Fisher & Paykel. With the rising cost of living, Australians have a rare chance to secure premium appliances at a fraction of retail prices.

A Unique Opportunity for Australian Households

This auction offers a way for households to save big on essential appliances. Items include fridges, TVs, kitchen gadgets, coffee machines, blenders, and vacuum cleaners.

Lloyds Auctions’ Chief Operations Officer, Lee Hames, confirmed that many products are brand new and still in their original packaging. “This event presents an opportunity for households to access premium appliances well below retail pricing,” he said.

Some items come from display models, while others were caught in an unusual insurance event. Hames explained, “Some smoke had gone through one of the major appliance retailers locally. So all of the contents had to be picked up within about five days, which resulted in about 50 truckloads all heading towards Lloyds.”

Despite the circumstances, he reassured buyers that the products were not compromised.

Serious Savings on Big-Name Brands

Buyers can expect discounts of up to 80%. A Hisense appliance with a retail price of $2,500 could sell for just $1,000 at auction. “We expect some really serious savings at this auction,” Hames said.

With many Australians struggling under financial pressure, this event provides a much-needed chance to buy quality appliances for less.

Sustainability Meets Affordability

Beyond savings, the auction also prevents unnecessary waste. Lloyds Auctions has embraced a sustainable approach by rehoming high-quality goods instead of letting them go to waste.

“We’re seeing more and more high-quality products being repurposed through auctions rather than being discarded,” Hames said. This aligns with growing consumer interest in sustainable shopping.

25 Auctions Over 12 Days

To manage the high demand, the 11,000 appliances will be auctioned across 25 separate events over 12 days.

The auction is based on the Gold Coast, but buyers from across Australia can participate online. Lloyds has expanded nationwide shipping due to the overwhelming interest. “Everything that is boxed, we will be shipping Australia-wide and everything that’s on display will be pick-up only,” Hames said.

The first auction kicks off tonight. With interest already soaring, buyers are expected to flood the online bidding platform.

For those affected by ex-Cyclone Alfred or feeling the pinch of rising prices, this could be the perfect chance to score premium household appliances at unbeatable prices.
