Top Honors in Film

In the film categories, The Brutalist won Best Picture—Drama. Adrien Brody’s captivating performance in the film earned him Best Actor in a Motion Picture—Drama. Fernanda Torres won Best Actress in a Motion Picture – Drama for her role in I’m Still Here, and she won Best Actress in a Motion Picture—Drama.

Best Picture – Musical/Comedy went to Wicked for musical and comedy films, which also received the award for Cinematic and Box Office Achievement. Demi Moore was honoured with Best Actress in a Motion Picture – Musical/Comedy for her role in The Substance, while Sebastian Stan won Best Actor in a Motion Picture – Musical/Comedy for A Different Man.

Achievements in Television

Beyond Shōgun, Baby Reindeer was a key winner in the limited series category. It won Best Limited Series, Anthology Series, or Television Motion Picture, and Jessica Gunning won Best Supporting Actress in a Television Series. Colin Farrell’s portrayal in The Penguin earned him Best Actor in a Limited Series. At the same time, Jodie Foster’s performance in True Detective: Night Country secured her the award for Best Actress in a Limited Series.

The Best Musical or Comedy Series went to Hacks, with Jean Smart winning Best Television Actress—Musical or Comedy Series for her lead role. Jeremy Allen White from The Bear earned Best Actor—Musical or Comedy Series, continuing his rise as one of television’s most dynamic performers.

Global and Musical Excellence

Emilia Pérez made waves in the international categories, winning Best Picture—Non-English Language. The film’s musical impact was equally celebrated, with “El Mal” winning Best Original Song. Zoe Saldana received Best Supporting Actress in a Motion Picture for her role in the film, showcasing its overall excellence.

Meanwhile, the animated feature Flow won Best Picture – Animated, beating out strong contenders like Inside Out 2 and The Wild Robot.

Other Notable Wins

Brady Corbet received Best Director for The Brutalist, which recognised his exceptional craftsmanship in a visually stunning and narratively complex film. Peter Straughan’s screenplay for Conclave won Best Screenplay—Motion Picture, further emphasising the film’s strengths in storytelling.

Ali Wong won Best Stand-Up Comedian on Television for her Netflix special Single Lady, a testament to her sharp wit and cultural resonance.
