Festival Dates and Location
Lollapalooza 2025 will return to Grant Park in Chicago from 31 July to 3 August. The four-day festival will feature over 170 artists performing across eight stages.
Lollapalooza has remained one of the city’s most significant cultural events since it established a permanent home in Grant Park in 2005.
Star-Studded Lineup and Historic Firsts
This year’s headliners include Olivia Rodrigo, Tyler, The Creator, Sabrina Carpenter, RÜFÜS DU SOL, Luke Combs, TWICE, A$AP Rocky, Korn, Gracie Abrams, and Doechii.
Several artists will make history at this year’s festival. Olivia Rodrigo will perform at Lollapalooza Chicago for the first time. TWICE will be the first female K-pop group to headline the festival. Luke Combs will be the first country artist to serve as a main headliner.

The festival has a history of featuring diverse acts from multiple genres. Past performers have included Billie Eilish, Kendrick Lamar, Metallica, and Harry Styles.
Ticket Sales and Pricing
Lollapalooza will hold a presale for four-day tickets on Thursday at 10 a.m. CT. The lowest ticket prices will be available for one hour.
At 11 a.m. CT, general ticket sales will begin with increased prices. Various ticket categories offer different levels of access and amenities:
- General Admission (GA) tickets start at $385 and provide access to all public festival areas.
- GA+ tickets start at $715 and include expedited entry and access to exclusive lounges.
- VIP tickets start at $1,500 and provide premium food, beverage options, and VIP lounges.
- Platinum tickets start at $4,500 and include backstage access, concierge services, and other luxury experiences.
Lollapalooza’s History and Cultural Impact
Lollapalooza first began in 1991 as a farewell tour for Jane’s Addiction. Over time, it evolved into a multi-genre festival showcasing a mix of global superstars and rising talent.
Since 2005, Grant Park has hosted the event, drawing massive crowds from around the world. The festival has expanded globally, with editions held in countries like Brazil, Argentina, Germany, and France.

Transportation and Accessibility
Lollapalooza attendees have multiple transportation options. The Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) provides bus and train services to Grant Park. The nearest train station is State/Lake, accessible via the Red, Orange, and Green Lines.
Ridesharing, biking, and walking remain popular ways to reach the festival. Visitors from outside Chicago may consider booking hotels in the downtown area for easier access.
Security and Entry Requirements
Lollapalooza enforces strict security policies to ensure a safe festival experience. Attendees must follow all guidelines regarding prohibited and approved items.

- Large backpacks and luggage
- Alcohol (except for VIP ticket holders)
- Drones, weapons, and illegal substances
- Professional cameras and recording equipment
Approved items include:
- Small backpacks or clear bags
- Reusable water bottles
- Sunscreen, lip balm, and other personal care items
- Mobile phones, non-professional cameras, and portable chargers
