Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson didn’t hold back his emotions following a disappointing 27-25 loss to the Buffalo Bills in the divisional round of the NFL playoffs on Sunday night. The defeat ended Baltimore’s postseason run, leaving the two-time NFL MVP visibly frustrated.
In a post-game interview, Jackson took responsibility for his performance, acknowledging that his turnovers played a significant role in the outcome.
“Can’t have that sh–. Because as you can see, we’re moving the ball wonderfully. Hold on to the fu—– ball. Sorry for the language, but this sh– is annoying. Tired of this sh–,” Jackson said, his frustration boiling over after another early playoff exit for the Ravens.
Turnovers Prove Costly
The Ravens entered halftime trailing 21-10, largely due to two first-half turnovers by Jackson. The first was an interception resulting from a misread of Buffalo’s defensive coverage.
“Me not holding the safety, me just knowing the coverages, knowing that it’s man, throw a BS interception,” Jackson admitted, describing the play that halted a promising drive.
The second turnover came on a strip-sack by the Bills’ Damar Hamlin, with star linebacker Von Miller recovering the fumble and returning it 39 yards. Jackson explained that the play design limited his options and led to the mistake.
“It was like a (run-pass option) kind of play, so I couldn’t really throw the ball to (tight end Isaiah) Likely because there was an offensive lineman down the field. So I tried to make something happen, slipped out of my hand, Von Miller picked it up, got some yards out of that, I think that led to points for them,” he recounted.
A Bitter End to Another Playoff Run
Baltimore rallied in the second half, with Jackson leading two touchdown drives to narrow the deficit. However, the comeback effort fell short due to additional errors, including a fumble by tight end Mark Andrews and a dropped two-point conversion attempt that could have tied the game late in the fourth quarter.
The Ravens’ playoff record under Jackson now stands at 3-5 across his seven-year career. Despite his regular-season dominance and an MVP-winning campaign, Jackson has faced persistent scrutiny for the team’s postseason struggles. Baltimore has reached the AFC Championship just once during his tenure, losing 17-10 to the Kansas City Chiefs last season.
On Sunday, Jackson completed 18 of 25 passes for 240 yards, throwing two touchdowns and one interception. He also added 39 rushing yards on six carries. While the numbers reflect a solid performance, the turnovers overshadowed his contributions.

Looking Ahead
As the Ravens regroup, the Bills will prepare for their own significant challenge. Buffalo will face the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC Championship game next Sunday, looking to overcome their playoff hurdles.
For Jackson and the Ravens, the offseason will bring questions and reflection. With the quarterback openly airing his frustration, it remains to be seen how the team will address the issues that have consistently hindered their playoff success.
Ravens fans will hope that Jackson’s determination and leadership translate into a deeper postseason run in the future, as Baltimore continues to seek the championship glory that has eluded them in recent years.
