Blockmate Ventures Builds Momentum Around Wyoming AI Data Centre Opportunity as Infrastructure Strategy Expands

Blockmate Ventures Inc. is advancing its Wyoming AI data centre opportunity after submitting a zoning application covering approximately 40 acres, while a recently completed $1 million financing and Hivello’s digital infrastructure expansion provide additional momentum to the Company’s broader AI, energy and technology strategy.

Blockmate Ventures Inc. (TSXV: MATE | OTCQB: MATEF | FSE: 8MH) is advancing a strategy built around some of the most significant infrastructure themes shaping the technology economy: artificial intelligence, energy and digital infrastructure.

The Company’s recent announcements show a progression from early-stage site assessment and investor engagement towards more tangible development activity at its Wyoming AI data centre opportunity.

The latest milestone came on September 1, 2026, when Blockmate announced that it had submitted a zoning and rezoning application covering approximately 40 acres for data centre use. Subject to approvals, power availability, final design, engineering and permitting, the proposed development area could support a facility of up to approximately 200 MW.

For investors following the AI infrastructure market, the sequence of developments provides a clearer picture of how Blockmate is attempting to position its Wyoming opportunity within a broader portfolio of AI, energy and digital infrastructure projects.

Proven Leadership: The Banxa Track Record

A core pillar supporting Blockmate’s aggressive digital infrastructure expansion is the proven operational track record of its leadership team. This strategy is guided by Executive Chairman Domenic Carosa, who previously founded Banxa Holdings (TSX: BNXA), a global web3 fiat-to-crypto payment service provider.

Demonstrating a clear history of scaling micro-cap digital companies into major institutional assets, Carosa led Banxa through its successful acquisition by OSL Group earlier this year in a landmark deal valued at approximately CAD $100 million. This proven capability to build and exit digital infrastructure enterprises underscores the strategic vision driving Blockmate’s current project pipeline.

Wyoming Opportunity Moves Into the Zoning Stage

The September announcement represents an important development in the Company’s work on its Wyoming site.

Blockmate has submitted the zoning and rezoning application to the relevant local city for approximately 40 acres of land. The application follows engineering, surveying, infrastructure assessment and local engagement activities undertaken during the preceding months.

The potential scale is also notable. Blockmate believes the proposed development area could accommodate up to approximately 200 MW of data centre capacity, although the Company has made clear that this remains conditional on zoning approval, final site design, power availability, engineering, permitting and other development requirements.

Domenic Carosa, Chairman of Blockmate, commented:

“Submitting the zoning application is another important step in advancing our Wyoming AI data centre development. At the same time, Hivello has launched its Bitcoin cloud mining product, providing a foundation for its planned expansion into GPU and AI compute products.”

The zoning submission therefore adds a practical development milestone to an opportunity that Blockmate has been progressing through technical and commercial work.

Building the Technical Foundations

The latest step follows Blockmate’s June 16 update, which outlined the technical work underway at the Wyoming site.

At that stage, the Company reported ongoing discussions with interested parties regarding the potential conversion of its controlled site into an AI data centre. The site is positioned in an industrial area away from the town centre and approximately 0.5 miles, or around 800 metres, from a substation.

Blockmate had also engaged engineering and surveying specialists to advance site readiness, technical assessments and development planning. Importantly for data centre infrastructure, the Company confirmed that two independent carrier options could service the site, providing the potential fibre redundancy required for modern AI and high-performance computing applications.

Mr. Domenic Carosa said:

“We continue to progress the Wyoming opportunity through practical site advancement work and active engagement with potential partners and investors. We’ve engaged engineering and surveying support, continued discussions with a number of parties, and advanced key planning inputs such as fibre connectivity. We look forward to updating shareholders as these efforts develop.”

Capital to Advance the Project

Blockmate’s development programme gained further financial backing in June and July.

On June 22, the Company announced a non-brokered private placement targeting gross proceeds of up to $750,000 through the issue of up to 15 million units at $0.05 per unit. Each unit comprised one common share and one warrant, with each warrant exercisable at $0.075 for 24 months from issuance. The financing had commitments from members of the board and external shareholder Gleneagle Securities.

The financing subsequently exceeded its original target.

On July 14, Blockmate announced the successful completion of an oversubscribed $1.0 million private placement comprising 20 million units at $0.05 per unit. Approximately 29% of the offering was subscribed by directors, while the net proceeds were earmarked for engineering, surveying, site planning, local engagement, fibre and power-related diligence and other development activities associated with the Wyoming opportunity, alongside general working capital.

The financing also reinforced the Company’s investor engagement strategy. Blockmate announced a Toronto non-deal investor roadshow for July 22–24, following investor meetings in Vancouver.

Domenic Carosa commented:

“The successful completion of the Offering allows us to continue advancing our Wyoming AI data centre opportunity while broadening our engagement with investors and strategic partners. Following a productive week of meetings in Vancouver, we’re looking forward to continuing those discussions during our Toronto investor roadshow.”

Hivello Adds a Digital Infrastructure Dimension

Blockmate’s strategy extends beyond the physical Wyoming development.

Hivello, an investee company, has launched a Bitcoin cloud mining product designed to provide customers with access to Bitcoin mining without requiring them to purchase, host or operate physical mining equipment. Third-party infrastructure providers manage the underlying mining capacity and operations.

Hivello intends to build on this model through planned GPU and AI compute products. This creates a potential connection between Blockmate’s digital infrastructure investment and its focus on AI compute infrastructure.

The approach gives Blockmate exposure to both sides of the infrastructure equation: physical infrastructure through the Wyoming opportunity and technology-enabled access to computing resources through Hivello.

Expanding Beyond a Single Project

The September announcement also highlighted a broader change in Blockmate’s strategy.

The Company is reviewing additional AI, energy and digital infrastructure opportunities across the United States, Canada and Australia. Two potential projects are currently subject to preliminary discussions regarding possible transactions, although Blockmate has emphasized that no binding agreements have been entered into and there is no assurance that either transaction will proceed.

This approach could allow Blockmate to develop a broader infrastructure pipeline rather than rely exclusively on the Wyoming opportunity.

Mr. Carosa summarized the strategy:

“Our strategy is broader than any single project. We are actively building a pipeline of infrastructure opportunities across the United States, Canada and Australia, with the objective of creating multiple avenues for revenue and shareholder value. We look forward to keeping shareholders informed as these initiatives progress.”

Investors’ Outlook

Blockmate Ventures enters the next phase with several development threads moving in parallel. The Wyoming AI data centre opportunity has progressed from site assessment and technical planning to a formal zoning application, while the $1.0 million financing provides capital for continued engineering, surveying, infrastructure diligence and development work.

At the same time, Hivello’s Bitcoin cloud mining launch and planned expansion towards GPU and AI compute products broaden Blockmate’s exposure to digital infrastructure. The Company is also evaluating additional opportunities across the United States, Canada and Australia.

For investors, the key milestones to monitor include the outcome of the Wyoming zoning process, power and infrastructure development, potential strategic or commercial partnerships, further financing requirements and the advancement of Blockmate’s broader project pipeline.

The Wyoming project remains subject to zoning, power availability, permitting, engineering, financing and other development requirements, while the additional infrastructure opportunities remain preliminary. As Blockmate continues to advance these initiatives, the Company’s ability to convert development milestones into commercial partnerships, infrastructure assets and recurring revenue will remain central to its evolving investment story.
