Pokémon Presents New Games, Series, and Events in July 2025 Showcase

New Pokémon Games Headline the Showcase

Pokémon Company gave the newest information during its July 2025 Pokémon Presents, conducted by COO Takato Utsunomiya. The announcement gave the details of future games, new series, live events, and expansions to existing titles in the Pokémon franchise.

Pokémon Legends Z-A and Pokémon Champions played a central role as did the surprise launch of Pokémon Friends, which is available on Nintendo Switch and mobiles.

Pokémon Legends: Z‑A Expands Lumiose City

The broadcast introduced new features from Pokémon Legends: Z‑A, set in Lumiose City. Players will meet new friends and rivals while training Pokémon like Ralts. Early purchases include a Ralts holding a Gardevoirite Mega Stone. Fans can evolve Ralts into Gardevoir, then Mega Evolve into Mega Gardevoir for added strength. The game will also release in a special edition for Nintendo Switch 2.

A new Mega-Evolved Pokémon, Mega Dragonite, made its first appearance. This reveals further depth in the Mega Evolution system, returning as a key mechanic.

Pokémon Champions Brings Battle Variety

Pokémon Champions, scheduled for 2026, features three battle modes and two formats. Players can recruit Pokémon to match their preferred battle style. The game promises flexible combat options with customisable teams and strategy.

Pokémon Friends Delivers Daily Puzzle Play

Pokémon Friends has launched as a new cosy puzzle game. Players can solve brainteasers and collect yarn to craft Pokémon plush. These plush can be gifted to in-game characters or displayed in dedicated plush rooms. The game is available now on Nintendo Switch, iOS, and Android.

Aardman Teams Up for New Pokémon Series

Peter Lord, creative director of Aardman, introduced Pokémon Tales: The Misadventures of Sirfetch’d & Pichu. The stop-motion series will premiere in 2027. A teaser is available now on the Pokémon YouTube channel. The show will blend Aardman’s animation style with Pokémon’s universe.

Pokémon Concierge Returns to Netflix

New episodes of Pokémon Concierge will arrive on Netflix on 4 September 2025. The show continues its stop-motion format and calm setting, extending the experience of a relaxing Pokémon resort.

Pokémon World Championships Head to Anaheim

The 2025 Pokémon World Championships will run from 15 to 17 August in Anaheim, California. The competition includes Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, the Trading Card Game, Pokémon GO, and Pokémon UNITE.

This year’s finals will take place in an arena. Every attendee will receive a special digital code to claim Toedscool in Pokémon Scarlet or Violet. The Paradise Resort promo card for the TCG will also be available at the event.

Pokémon TCG Welcomes Mega Evolution Expansion

The upcoming Mega Evolution expansion will introduce cards like Mega Lucario ex, Mega Gardevoir ex, and Mega Kangaskhan ex. A full evolutionary line of Bulbasaur, Ivysaur, and Mega Venusaur ex also joins the expansion with special illustration rare cards.

PokéPark KANTO Set to Open in Japan

A permanent outdoor Pokémon attraction named PokéPark KANTO will open at Yomiuriland in early 2026. The park includes Pokémon Forest and Sedge Town. Junichi Masuda described it as “a place where people and Pokémon can have fun together.” Ticket sales will begin in late 2025.

Pokémon Scarlet and Violet Optimised for Switch 2

Pokémon Scarlet and Violet now support the Nintendo Switch 2. The update improves movement and display quality. New in-game events include Tera Raid Battles featuring the Ruinous Pokémon and mass outbreaks with various Pokémon types. Players can unlock a Tracksuit via Mystery Gift using the codes STRACKSU1T and VTRACKSU1T.

Eternatus Arrives in Pokémon GO

Eternatus debuts in Pokémon GO during the GO Fest 2025: Max Finale on 23 and 24 August. All previously available Max Pokémon will return. Players can use the code GOFESTMAX on the Pokémon GO Web Store to receive Timed Research leading to a Gigantamax encounter.

New Sync Pair and UNITE Content Revealed

Pokémon Masters EX adds Carmine & Sinistcha as a featured Poké Fair sync pair. They are available from 28 July to 5 September 2025. Players can log in now to claim 3,000 gems.

Pokémon UNITE welcomes Latios and Latias in July and August respectively. Players can redeem the code UNITE0722 to receive a three-day trial license for Latios and special boost emblems. A new battle mode, Electrode Volleyball, is also available now.

Pokémon Sleep Introduces Legendary Research

September 2025 will feature the Raikou, Entei, and Suicune Research event in Pokémon Sleep. A new area called Amber Canyon will be added later this year.

Pokémon Café ReMix Goes Nautical

In Pokémon Café ReMix, Lapras is now dressing as a sea captain. The themed outfits and new decorations of Alolan Meowth, Totodile, Minccino and Jigglypuff will be followed.

The July 2025 Pokémon Presents affirms an enlarging, multi-platform Pokémon world. Game lovers can expect significant launches in games, media, and real life.
