Patriot Lithium Limited (ASX: PAT) (“Patriot” or “the Company”) has uncovered a second high-priority copper target within its recently acquired exploration licences in Zambia’s Mumbwa region. The Company confirmed high-grade copper results from Katwaro 28424 and the newly identified Katwaro East target. These discoveries significantly enhance Patriot’s exploration potential in a region known for its copper-gold mineralisation.

Expanding Exploration Footprint
Patriot holds an option agreement over three large-scale exploration licences covering 44,961 hectares (450 km²). These licences extend north-west and share boundaries with the Company’s existing Kitumba 27715 and Katwaro 28424 projects.
The latest discoveries reinforce the Company’s strategic move into Zambia’s copper-rich terrain. Patriot continues aggressive exploration efforts to confirm and expand these targets.
Katwaro 28424: High-Grade Copper and Gold Identified
The first high-priority target, Katwaro 28424, underwent detailed mapping and sampling to assess its mineral potential. The team sampled the channel within a historical pit, revealing strong copper mineralisation with malachite, bornite, and chalcopyrite.
Significant result averaged:
- 16% Cu and 0.68 g/t Au over 14.0m, including 4.45% Cu and 2.59 g/t Au over 2.0m
Structural analysis confirmed NW-SE trending lithologies, aligning with major copper-gold-bearing regional lineaments.

Katwaro East: A Promising New Discovery
Patriot’s reconnaissance work identified a second high-priority target, Katwaro East, approximately 5.2km east of Katwaro 28424. This area hosts three small pits stretching 200m along the strike, with the main pit measuring 70m x 22m.
The pit is flooded, so sampling will be limited to two grab samples that will be analysed via portable XRF (pXRF). The results indicate high-grade copper mineralisation:
- Sample R3504 recorded 1.96% Cu, averaging 1.40% Cu
- Sample U3792 averaged 0.12% Cu

Although pXRF readings are not substitutes for laboratory assays, they confirm the presence of significant copper mineralisation. The Company believes Katwaro East may host multiple parallel mineralised structures along regional lineaments.

Strong Geological Continuity Across the Region
Katwaro 28424 and Katwaro East display similar structural trends, reinforcing the potential for widespread copper mineralisation. The discoveries align with known copper-bearing structures in Mumbwa, strengthening Patriot’s confidence in its regional exploration strategy.

Next Steps: Advancing Exploration in Q2
Patriot plans to build on these discoveries with further mapping, sampling, and drilling. Key priorities for the next quarter include:
- Extending mapping and sampling across the licence area
- Confirming targets through a reverse circulation (RC) drilling program
These efforts will refine Patriot’s geological model and unlock additional copper potential within its licence package.
