Grocery Stores

However, some stores, including Jewel-Osco, Randalls, Shaw’s, and Tom Thumb, will be closed on Christmas Day, will be closed on Christmas Day. Retail Stores


 Retailers such as Walmart and Target have specific holiday schedules. Walmart will close at 6 p.m. on Christmas Eve and remain closed on Christmas Day. Target will open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Christmas Eve but will be closed on Christmas Day.

Home Depot’s hours will vary depending on the location, but most stores will close by 5 p.m. on Christmas Eve and will be closed on Christmas Day. Lowe’s will be open as usual on Christmas Eve but closed on Christmas Day.

Macy’s will open on Christmas Eve from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. but close on Christmas Day. Kohl’s will operate from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Christmas Eve and remain closed on Christmas Day. Department stores such as Nordstrom and Nordstrom Rack will also open with limited hours on Christmas Eve and close on Christmas Day.

Financial Centers


 Most banks follow the Federal Reserve’s holiday schedule, so branches will be closed on Christmas Day. Bank of America, Wells Fargo, and TD Bank, among others, will be closed on Christmas Day. Many will also close early on Christmas Eve, such as Wells Fargo, which will close at noon.

The New York Stock Exchange and NASDAQ will be closed on Christmas Day. You can still use mobile apps or ATMs to manage transactions if you need to handle any banking business.

Pharmacies


 CVS Pharmacy will remain open on Christmas Eve and Day but with reduced hours. Check with your local CVS for specific hours in your area. Rite Aid will operate regular business hours on Christmas Eve but close on Christmas Day.

Walgreens will keep most of its stores open on Christmas Eve, including 24-hour pharmacy locations. On Christmas Day, however, most Walgreens locations will have limited hours, except 24-hour pharmacies and other select locations that may remain open.

Postal Services


 The United States Postal Service (USPS) will not send or deliver mail on Christmas Day but will operate as usual on Christmas Eve. FedEx and UPS have modified schedules as well. FedEx Express and FedEx Office will operate with limited hours on Christmas Eve, but other services like FedEx Ground and Custom Critical will run as usual. All FedEx services except for Custom Critical will be unavailable on Christmas Day.

UPS will run as usual on Christmas Eve but will have limited store hours on Christmas Day. Only UPS Express Critical service will be available, and several UPS store locations will be open.
