Lady Gaga will return to Australia in December for her global stadium tour The MAYHEM Ball, marking her first Australian visit in 11 years. She last performed in the country in 2014 during her ArtRave: The ARTPOP Ball tour, which featured six arena shows. This time, Gaga will headline three major east coast stadiums, including Sydney’s Accor Stadium on Friday, 12 December—her first-ever stadium performance in the city.

Three Major Stadium Shows Announced

The tour will kick off at Marvel Stadium in Melbourne on 5 December, continue at Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane on 9 December, and conclude in Sydney on 12 December. Gaga confirmed she had not initially planned a world tour but changed course after receiving an overwhelming response to her new album. “I wasn’t planning to tour this year after my shows in Singapore but the incredible response to the new album inspired me to keep things going,” she told fans. “This show is designed to be the kind of theatrical and electrifying experience that brings Mayhem to life exactly how I envision it.”

Mayhem Album Leads the Comeback

Mayhem debuted at No.1 in Australia last month. It features the hit single Die With A Smile, a collaboration with Bruno Mars that has now clocked over 2.2 billion streams on Spotify. The album’s success and demand for Gaga’s high-energy performances led to added shows across North America, Europe, and the UK before the Australian dates were announced.
