A New Trailer and a Familiar Face
Kojima Productions showcased a 10-minute trailer at SXSW 2025 in Austin, Texas, featuring new cinematics, gameplay, and surprises. The most talked-about moment involved Luca Marinelli’s character, Neil, who bears a striking resemblance to Solid Snake from Metal Gear.
The trailer shows Neil putting on a bandanna, a signature look of Snake. Fans quickly pointed out the similarities. Kojima had previously said on Instagram, “If he donned a bandanna, he’d be a spitting image of Solid Snake!”
The trailer also introduced Magellan Man, a massive tar-like creature fused with DHV Magellan. It looks like a mech similar to Metal Gear Rex. This creature will be available as a 15-inch statue in the Collector’s Edition.
