Steve Smith made a huge mistake during the game because he did not take a crucial review despite being not out during the Cricket World Cup 2023 final on November 19, 2023. It happened during the seventh over of the Australian innings when Jasprit Bumrah made a slow delivery. It crashed into Smith’s pad, after which the entire team appealed against the batters. The umpire also gave him out. Smith was interested in taking a review, but Travis Head advised him not to go for one.
