Culpeo Minerals Expands Chilean Landholding by 45% to Strengthen District-Scale Copper-Gold Strategy in Chile

Culpeo Minerals Limited (ASX: CPO | OTCID: CPORF) (“Culpeo” or the “Company”) has significantly strengthened its exploration footprint in Chile after securing 24 additional Exploration Licences (ELs) covering 2,809 hectares across its flagship Lana Corina and Fortuna Projects.

The latest licence grants increase the Company’s total Chilean landholding by 45% to 9,033 hectares, reinforcing its strategy to establish a district-scale copper-gold portfolio in one of the world’s leading mining jurisdictions.

The newly granted licences surround existing project areas that already host known copper-gold mineralisation. Culpeo has immediately incorporated these areas into its ongoing exploration programmes, including geological mapping, rock-chip sampling and channel sampling.

The Company will combine the new geological information with existing geophysical and geological datasets to identify and prioritise high-quality drilling targets.

Expansion Builds a Larger Copper-Gold Opportunity

The land expansion includes five exploration licences covering 793 hectares within the Lana Corina Project and 19 licences spanning 2,016 hectares within the Fortuna Project. These additions strategically extend Culpeo’s Project boundaries around known mineralised zones and along favourable geological trends.

Rather than simply increasing its landholding, Culpeo has focused on acquiring areas with strong geological potential. Initial reconnaissance exploration has already been completed across portions of the newly granted tenure, while detailed geological mapping and sampling programmes continue across the expanded project areas.

The Company plans to integrate all exploration results into its existing geological database alongside regional mapping and geophysical datasets. This comprehensive approach will help rank exploration targets and improve confidence before drilling commences.

Management Highlights Strategic Importance

Interim Executive Chair Geoff McNamara said the licence grants represent an important milestone in Culpeo’s long-term exploration strategy.

“The granting of these licences materially strengthens Culpeo’s land position across the Lana Corina and Fortuna Project areas and supports our objective of establishing a district-scale, copper–gold portfolio in Chile.”

Mr McNamara explained that the additional tenure extends into areas surrounding and along strike from existing mineralisation, allowing the exploration team to apply geological models developed from previous work across a much broader land package.

He added:

“This new tenure covers areas surrounding and along-strike from known mineralisation. It provides our geological team with a broader area across which to apply the geological models developed through our existing exploration programmes.”

The Company has already completed initial reconnaissance work across sections of the new licences and continues mapping and sampling activities designed to identify priority drill targets.

Mr McNamara further commented:

“Initial reconnaissance work has already been completed across sections of the new tenure, with further mapping and sampling underway. This work will help Culpeo identify and prioritise the most prospective areas for future drilling.”

Exploration Activities Across Fortuna

While expanding its land position, Culpeo continues to advance exploration across the Fortuna Project through multiple parallel work programmes.

The Company has commenced an induced polarisation (IP) survey covering approximately 24 line kilometres across ten survey lines over several priority prospects where copper-gold mineralisation has already been confirmed. The survey aims to identify chargeability and resistivity anomalies beneath and along strike from known surface mineralisation.

Culpeo will integrate the IP survey results with geological mapping, trenching, geochemical sampling, magnetic surveys and previous drilling information to refine exploration targets across the project.

At the same time, diamond drilling continues at the El Quillay South Prospect. The Company expects to receive the initial assay results during August 2026, providing investors with another important exploration catalyst in the near term.

Chile: A Strategic Destination for Copper Exploration

Exploration in Chile

Culpeo is doubling down on high-grade copper exploration in Chile’s infrastructure-rich Coastal Cordillera. Located about 350 kilometres north of Santiago, the Lana Corina and Fortuna Projects lie close to the world-class Los Pelambres mine, giving the Company a front-row seat in one of the world’s most prolific copper belts.

Strategic Topographic and Geological Advantages of the Region

  • Low-Altitude Setting: Located well below the high Andes, the projects escape operational challenges such as heavy snowfall, thin air and high-altitude logistics, supporting year-round exploration.
  • Near-Surface Mineralisation: Extensive outcropping copper-gold breccia systems offer strong potential for rapid resource definition and cost-effective open-pit mining.
  • Favourable Geological Setting: The projects are associated with major coastal fault systems that host high-grade copper mineralisation, with additional gold and molybdenum credits enhancing project potential.
  • Established Infrastructure: The region benefits from all-weather roads, power transmission networks and reliable water access, reducing infrastructure requirements for exploration and future development.
  • Experienced Mining Jurisdiction: A skilled local workforce and well-established mining services sector support efficient exploration activities and long-term project development.
  • Strong Exploration Potential: Culpeo’s recent copper and molybdenum discovery at the Lana Corina Project highlights the prospectivity of the Company’s growing portfolio across Chile’s Coastal Cordillera.

Investors’ Outlook

Culpeo Minerals has taken another meaningful step towards building a district-scale copper-gold exploration portfolio by increasing its Chilean landholding by 45%. The expanded tenure provides additional exploration upside around known mineralised systems while supporting a systematic pipeline of geological mapping, geophysical surveys and drilling.

Ongoing IP surveys, active diamond drilling and expected August 2026 assay results are driving Culpeo’s exploration momentum. Combined with its strategic location in Chile’s world-class copper belt, the Company is set to forge ahead with its exploration strategy over the coming months.
