Festival Returns for 33rd Year in Regional Victoria
Meredith Music Festival has confirmed its return for 2025, marking its 33rd edition at the Supernatural Amphitheatre in regional Victoria. The three-day camping event will take place from Friday 5 December to Sunday 7 December. Known to regulars as “The Sup’”, the venue offers a unique festival setting without commercial sponsorship, signage, curfews, or market stalls, and permits attendees to bring their own alcohol. The festival maintains a strong community ethos and focuses entirely on the music experience.

Headliners Include TV On The Radio and Perfume Genius
In the headlining positions this year will be New York experimental indie-rock outfit TV On The Radio, who headline the Saturday night. Returning to Australia after more than 10 years, the band last visited as part of Vivid LIVE in 2015 when they were touring in support of their fifth album Seeds. Following the Seeds world tour the group went inactive and slightly active until 2019, when they reemerged, now without guitarist (and co-founder) Dave Sitek.
Other international performers alongside them will be Japanese pop group, Atarashii Gakko!, American baroque pop singer-songwriter, Perfume Genius, soul-funk trio, Thee Sacred Souls and British art-rock group, Bar Italia. Their line-up also includes UK rapper Pa Salieu, Syrian musician Omar Souleyman and Canadian blitzer Saya Gray.
Strong Australian Representation Across Genres
On the local front, ARIA Hall of Fame inductee Colin Hay will perform alongside Melbourne jazz fusion group Mildlife. The line-up also includes post-punk acts Radio Free Alice and Dr. Sure’s Unusual Practice, as well as folk outfit Folk Bitch Trio. Other Australian artists include RONA., Dames Brown, and electronic collective Wax’o Paradiso. The Central Australian Aboriginal Women’s Choir, Brown Spirits, and emerging acts such as Mouseatouille and Drifting Clouds will also appear.
Festival Traditions and Unique Events
Meredith Music Festival retains its long-standing traditions, including the Meredith Gift, an annual nude or minimally clothed footrace. Open to all attendees, the race awards prizes for ‘Best in Show’, ‘Best Finish’, and ‘Speediest’. This year’s race will be hosted by Lazy Susan, winner of Drag Race Down Under Season 4, known for combining camp performance, theatrical flair, and humour.
