Nvidia also confirmed plans for a Taiwan headquarters named Nvidia Constellation. The campus will span seven hundred thousand square feet. Construction is expected to begin before the end of this year, with the facility ready for occupation by two thousand and thirty. The new building will house up to four thousand employees, compared to around one thousand currently based in Taiwan.
Billions in Investment Pour into Taiwan’s AI Sector
The financial commitments tied to Computex this year are substantial. Multiple global chip companies have announced significant investment plans linked to Taiwan’s growing AI capacity.
Huang stated that Nvidia plans to spend as much as one hundred and fifty billion dollars a year in Taiwan. He described the island as the epicentre of the AI revolution. Many years ago, he noted, the company had ten partners. Five years ago, that number stood at around fifty. Today, Nvidia works with one hundred and fifty partners across the island.
AMD chief executive Lisa Su also announced that her company would invest more than ten billion dollars in Taiwan’s AI sector. AMD is co-investing with Taiwanese partners to secure enough capacity for growth through the coming years.
Global Tech Leaders Converge on Taipei for Record-Breaking Show
Based on the view of things, Computex 2026 is going to be big this year, with upwards of 1,500 exhibitors set to attend. Over the course of a few days, Taipei will essentially be the AI and future technology capital of the world with major companies attending.
