Cascadia Amp Drilling Tests Yukon Gold-Silver System

Cascadia Amp Drilling Tests Yukon Gold-Silver System

First Diamond Drilling at Amp Zone Completed

Cascadia Minerals Ltd. has completed its inaugural diamond drilling program at the Amp Zone, part of its Catch property in Yukon. The company drilled five holes totalling 741.5 metres, targeting a near-surface, high-grade epithermal gold-silver system. This follows the discovery of bonanza-grade gold samples during late-season 2024 prospecting work at the property.

The 2025 Phase 1 drill program concentrated solely on Amp, driven by strong surface mineralisation and clear geological continuity. Catch covers 118 square kilometres in the central Yukon and lies within the underexplored Stikine Terrane, known for world-class deposits. Major regional discoveries such as Red Chris, KSM, and Galore Creek highlight the area’s strong copper-gold potential..

Five Holes Intersect Sulphide-Rich Epithermal Zones

The program included drill holes CA-25-011 to CA-25-015, each targeting different structures and depths within the Amp zone. The first two holes targeted below the high-grade outcrop identified in 2024, extending to roughly 25 metres depth. Further holes were drilled to test strike extensions and potential cross structures deeper in the system.

Holes -013 and -014 were collared upslope to assess along-strike continuity, while -015 was drilled 100 metres north, targeting a possible intersecting structure. Each of the five holes intersected silicified zones with visible sulphide minerals such as pyrite, sphalerite, and chalcopyrite. These mineral textures are consistent with intermediate sulfidation epithermal systems, supporting the presence of a significant system.

While assays are still pending, initial geological observations indicate continuity from surface into depth,
highlighting the Amp zone’s growing exploration significance.

Surface Mapping Supports Drilling Focus

Detailed surface mapping by Cascadia’s field crews identified two distinct alteration zones that align with prior high-grade samples. One alteration zone corresponds with bonanza-grade gold outcrops from 2024, while the second ties to copper-rich samples from 2023.

These mapped patterns reinforced the decision to dedicate the full Phase 1 drill campaign solely to the Amp zone. Cascadia also conducted additional surface exploration at the adjacent Volt zone, though no drilling occurred there in this phase.

Volt remains a compelling prospect, with new mineralised outcrops identified beyond a previously landslide-affected area. These new findings at Volt will help refine future drill targets despite terrain challenges delaying its inclusion in Phase 1.

Prospecting Expands Across Catch Property

In addition to drilling, Cascadia undertook extensive prospecting and mapping across the broader Catch property in 2025. Crews collected a total of 109 rock samples and 319 soil samples from both the Amp and Volt zones.

These samples will assist with geological modelling, structure interpretation, and targeting future exploration phases. Catch contains multiple exploration targets, including porphyry-style copper-gold systems identified at Spark and Volt in prior programs.

While current work focused on the epithermal zone at Amp, the larger Catch property offers longer-term potential. Cascadia continues evaluating Spark and Volt through geochemical and structural analysis for future drill testing.

Leadership Confirms Focus on Amp’s Scale and Potential

Cascadia president and CEO Graham Downs praised the technical team’s efforts and early success in the 2025 season. “Our team now has a better understanding of mineralisation at both Amp and Volt,” said Downs.

He noted that based on the scale of alteration and consistency of surface mineralisation, the company committed the entire Phase 1 drill program to Amp. Although Volt remains a key exploration area, it will be drilled in later phases once target refinement is complete.
Meanwhile, Cascadia’s crews are planning to resume mapping at Macks, Milner, Rosy, and Idaho Creek in the coming weeks. The company has cautioned that assay results may take longer than usual, due to high seasonal demand at analytical labs across Yukon.

Assays to Guide Next Phase of Yukon Exploration

Core logging and sampling from the completed Amp drill program are now underway, with assay results expected in coming months. Despite expected delays, results will be instrumental in shaping Phase 2 drilling plans across Catch. Amp will remain a central focus, but Cascadia plans to revisit Volt and other underexplored zones once geochemical and geophysical datasets are fully analysed.

The company’s work at Amp highlights its commitment to advancing high-grade gold-silver resources within a broader mineralised system. By focusing exploration on the most prospective zones, Cascadia aims to define a potential district-scale discovery in central Yukon. These efforts place Cascadia among several emerging players in the region pursuing epithermal and porphyry-style systems. As assays are returned and interpreted, the Amp zone may prove to be one of Yukon’s most exciting new gold-silver targets.
