Record Jackpot Rolls Over Again
The EuroMillions Jackpot continues to grow as the United Kingdom’s largest-ever lottery prize rolls over once more. The top prize remains unclaimed after Friday’s EuroMillions draw, pushing the jackpot to around £208 million for Tuesday’s draw. If won, it would become the highest prize ever awarded in the UK, National Lottery operator Allwyn confirmed.
Prize Cap Triggers New Rules
The EuroMillions prize pool has hit its cap. This triggers special draw rules for the upcoming plays. Once capped, the jackpot holds steady for four more draws. If still unclaimed by the fifth draw on 20 June, the entire prize must be won. The jackpot then rolls down to the next winning tier with at least one winner. That tier usually includes players matching five main numbers and one Lucky Star.
Five UK Players Become Millionaires
While no player won the top prize, five UK ticket holders became millionaires. Each matched five numbers and one Lucky Star to claim £3.61 million. The winning numbers were 02, 28, 40, 43, 45. The Lucky Stars were 03 and 07. A special UK Millionaire Maker event also created 13 new millionaires.
Advice from National Lottery Adviser
Andy Carter, senior winners’ adviser at Allwyn, highlighted the significance of the current jackpot. “A win of this magnitude would create the biggest National Lottery winner this country has ever seen.” He urged players to act promptly. “Get your tickets early to ensure you’re in with a chance of a massive life-changing win.”
Carter noted the benefits of the prize cap. “The EuroMillions jackpot is now capped,” he said. “So any money that would have gone into increasing the jackpot now boosts prizes in the next winning prize tier.” He added, “We’re seeing multiple UK players banking huge prizes for matching just the five main numbers and one Lucky Star.”
Thunderball and HotPicks Results
No players won the £1 million HotPicks jackpot in Friday’s draw. No one claimed the £500,000 Thunderball prize either. The Thunderball numbers were 01, 02, 24, 33, 39, and the EuroMillions Jackpot Thunderball was 13.
Superstition Defied on Friday the 13th
Despite its reputation, Friday the 13th brought big wins EuroMillions Jackpot for some UK players. “Contrary to superstition, Friday the 13th has proven the luckiest date in the calendar for these lucky UK players,” said Carter. “All UK EuroMillions players should check their tickets and contact us if they believe they are one of tonight’s lucky winners.”
