On Friday, 15 August, the Red Arrows will fly over a handful of places in the Southwest: the Isle of Wight and Hampshire. The route of the Royal Air Force Aerobatic Team will fly to the National Memorial Arboretum Flypast, and it is pertinent to have precise timings of the participants who would want to see the flypast.
The Red Arrows will fly over multiple South West towns on their route to Eastbourne
Worcestershire to Dorset flypast
First, to Eckington, Worcestershire, the Red Arrows will be observed at around 1.14 pm to the west. The jets will be visible just three minutes later, northwest of Withington in Cheltenham in the Cotswolds.
Their flight will subsequently head south and arrive in a position south of Calne in Wiltshire at 1.22pm. By 1.25pm, they should fly south of Bath before arriving in the vicinity of Shillingstone in north Dorset at about 1.31pm.
Commemorative Event in Staffordshire
The morning session consists of a flypast across the National Memorial Arboretum in Staffordshire. The Red Arrows will be joined by a Spitfire, Hurricane, and Lancaster bomber.
The airborne salute is part of a national ceremony hosted by the Royal British Legion to celebrate the 80th anniversary of VJ Day. The commemorative show will witness vintage planes mixed with the flying acrobatics of the aerobatic team.
Isle of Wight Afternoon Display
The Red Arrows will take to the skies over the Isle of Wight for the second consecutive day as part of the Eastbourne International Airshow programme during the afternoon. The team should be on the Island around 4.15pm, flying over Nettlestone Point by 4.18pm.
Their return trip will also likely have them fly over Yarmouth, Shalfleet, Newport, Wootton, Havenstreet, Appley, and Nettlestone. The same route and flight timetable will be followed on Saturday.

Return Leg from Bournemouth
After the Isle of Wight flypast, the Red Arrows will fly to Bournemouth again. They will also fly over Cowes and East Cowes before departure, which will provide more vantage points.
They depart at 4.11 pm from the airport in Bournemouth and pass over the Solent at 4.54 pm or so. As long as the environment is not overcast, the locals of Gosport and Fareham would have the privilege of viewing the jets, and the two most strategic viewing areas would be the Stokes Bay Road and the Marine Parade.
New Forest and Hampshire Sighting Opportunities
Soon after leaving the Solent, individuals on Lepe Beach would be able to view the aerobatic planes flying overhead. The aircraft will then fly over Lymington directly at about 5.15pm before heading back to Bournemouth Airport by 5.18pm.
As with all flights, times and routes are liable to change because of weather and can be changed at short notice.

Public Excitement for the Displays
The Red Arrows’ display today follows recent displays over the Isle of Wight at Cowes Week, which Her Royal Highness Princess Anne has seen. The County Press also plans to feature the team in next year’s event.
The demonstrations continue to draw onlookers eager to see the aerobatic patterns and synchronised maneuvers carried out by the RAF’s renowned display pilots.
