Bethesda Softworks announced Fallout 4: Anniversary Edition during its Fallout Day broadcast. This edition marks the 10th anniversary of Fallout 4, originally released in 2015. The new edition launches on 10 November 2025 for multiple platforms, including PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Steam, and PC. Additionally, it will debut on the Nintendo Switch 2 in 2026, marking Fallout 4’s first appearance on a Nintendo console.
Complete Game and Expansions Included
The Anniversary Edition bundles the base Fallout 4 game with all six official add-ons. These expansions cover story add-ons Automatron, Far Harbor, and Nuka-World, as well as the Workshop expansions Contraptions, Vault-Tec, and Wasteland Workshop. Alongside these, the edition features more than 150 pieces of Creation Club content. This includes unique weapons, power armour, and Pip-Boy paint jobs.

Introduction of Creations Menu
Bethesda introduced a new in-game Creations menu allowing players to find, download, and enjoy user-created content easily. Creations refer to mods and content made by the community and professional developers. Bethesda aims to make accessing this content straightforward on both PC and console platforms. Some Creations teased include an escape room experience, a “slice of the Mojave Desert” to the Commonwealth, and an interactive version of the player’s spouse voiced by original actors.
Availability and Upgrade Options
The Anniversary Edition is available as a digital-only release. Players with the original game can access an Anniversary Upgrade on all platforms. Game Pass and PlayStation Plus subscribers will have options to access the DLCs or Creations content through two upgrade paths. Bethesda made this announcement following the success of Fallout’s renewed popularity after the Fallout TV show.
Significance for Nintendo Switch 2
Fallout 4’s arrival on Nintendo Switch 2 is significant as it is the first mainline Fallout entry on a Nintendo system. Previously, Fallout Shelter and Fallout Pinball appeared on Nintendo platforms. The Switch 2 release is expected sometime in 2026, expanding the Fallout franchise’s reach.
Bethesda’s Future Plans
Bethesda confirmed plans to release Fallout 5 but indicated The Elder Scrolls 6 will come first. The Fallout 4 Anniversary Edition is the latest version following a next-gen update released last year. This update catered to heightened interest in the Fallout series globally.
Fallout 4 Celebrates a Decade
“It’s been ten years since players first stepped out of Vault 111,” Bethesda stated. “To mark the occasion, Bethesda Game Studios is thrilled to announce Fallout 4: Anniversary Edition.” The edition celebrates Fallout 4’s lasting impact and continues to bring new content to fans.
