Google has revealed a ground-breaking advancement in the integration of artificial intelligence. According to Google CEO Sundar Pichai, the Gemini era of AI is about to begin. Google described Gemini as the company’s “largest and most capable AI model,” demonstrating an extensive range of the company’s goals. Google launched Google Gemini AI, a much anticipated general-purpose, multimodal, generative AI model, on Wednesday. The company stated that Google Gemini AI is more potent than OpenAI’s GPT-4. This multimodal AI can interact with a wide range of data, including text, code, audio, images, and videos.
Google Gemini AI – The most powerful AI Model
Gemini Ultra, with a score of 90.0%, is the first model to surpass human specialists on MMLU (massive multitask language understanding). MMLU measures problem-solving skills and general knowledge across 57 areas, including math, physics, history, law, medicine, and ethics. Gemini has been introduced in three sizes—Ultra, Pro, and Nano. Each has unique capacities to meet different power needs. Gemini Nano is a simplified version designed to operate offline on Android smartphones. Pro is a more capable model that forms the basis of Bard Gemini and is expected to power several Google AI applications. Ultra is the strongest and primarily intended for challenging data centres and business applications professions.
Google, a direct rival of ChatGPT, has included the new Gemini Pro with its AI-powered chatbot, Bard. Users can communicate with the Gemini-powered Bard through text. The latest update is only available in English and is accessible in 170 nations and territories.
How to access Google Gemini AI?
Gemini is currently accessible on Google devices in the Nano and Pro sizes, which include the Pixel 8 phone and the Bard chatbot. The first phone designed to run Gemini Nano, the Pixel 8 Pro will enable new features. Features like Summarize are in the Recorder app and will roll out in Gboard’s Smart Reply, starting with WhatsApp, with more messaging apps coming next year.
Over time, Google intends to incorporate Gemini into its Ads, Chrome, Search, Duet AI, and other services. Developers and enterprise clients can use Google Cloud Vertex AI or AI Studio’s Gemini API as of December 13. Bard Advanced, a brand-new AI experience that offers you access to Google’s greatest models and features, will also be released early in the upcoming year. Of all the Google AI models, Gemini features the most thorough safety evaluations, including tests for toxicity and bias.
