Owing to the startup scenario of India, companies started by college students are on a rise more than ever before. The commencement of initiatives like ‘Make In India’ is making it possible. Hence, we have the following 5 businesses Initiated by Students in India, that are directed by founders who are below 18 years!
Started at 12 and 14 years, Shravan Kumaran and Sanjay Kumaran are the youngest entrepreneurs of India. They started an app development unit called GoDimensions in 2011. Spanning six years from then, Shravan is the President and Sanjay is now the CEO of the business. Thereafter, the Kumaran brothers launched 7+ applications, available on Apple and iOS devices.
Overall, the brothers put thoughts into action by:
- Sharing and discussing ideas.
- Combining different approaches into 1.
- Presenting the views to their parents.
- Welcoming suggestions and feedback to implement better strategies than before.
Thus, innovation with the mind to improve turned GoDimensions into a success story. Now coming to the part of the investment, the duo’s business was a dad-funded one. The initial costs of buying gadgets and other technologies were covered by their father Kumaran Surendran’s income.
“we have made godimensions big and now we want to make it bigger”, says Sanjay
Now, the future mission of Shravan and Sanjay is to develop robots for navigating the visually impaired people! Furthermore, they are also working on a map-app that displays live traffic and pollution information to users.
